When Hermann Schwelling founded his one-man company in 1971, he had two ideals written large: innovation and quality. These virtues, which have characterised HSM since it developed its first baling presses in 1972, are the foundations for its success.

HSM Improves Efficiency with Lower Power Consumption. Don’t judge a machine by its cuts size. From our largest to smallest cut size, our shredders use less power. Strip cut shredders use force only where it is needed due to sophisticated technology which retains friction during the cutting process. Cross cut shredders have a powerful drive equipped with a scraper system which prevents cut paper from sticking and causing blockage. This means a quieter, smoother running machine. Our Securio line displays the highest quality in document destruction with features such as EMCS (Energy Management Control System) and a pleasantly quiet operating sound.
Our HSM Brands are Quality Products Produced in Germany and are Fully TAA Compliant. From security level 1 to Government High Security level 6, all cutting heads are forged out of two laser-cut solid steel cylinders which are backed by 170 international patents.
